Watch episode 2: Armacell on the future of the industry and their solutions: - It's the smoke that takes lives when there's a fire in a building
A profession and an industry most people know little about
The podcast ‘Isolert sett’ is now available on YouTube, Spotify and several other channels, both on audio and video. The programme is hosted by Camilla Tangen Kuvene, who is joined by anchors Gerry Rene Hilt and Trond Erik Johansen, both of whom have many years of experience in the industry. The guest list includes both players from the insulation industry and well-known insulation manufacturers such as Rockwool, Armacell, Paroc and Glava.
- Like most people, I know very little about technical insulation. But working on this podcast has made me realise how important this subject is, and that it surrounds us just about everywhere we go in our everyday lives, whether it's reducing noise, protecting against fire or saving energy,’ says Kuvene.
An important part of the green shift
Arne Schultz, CEO of ISOPARTNER, hopes the podcast will help to raise awareness of technical insulation and how important it is in creating a sustainable future:
- ‘If we are to succeed with the green shift, technical insulation is crucial. Few measures reduce CO₂ emissions or energy consumption more. Insulating an industrial plant pays for itself in two years, but the effect on our planet is far greater. I hope the podcast can help spread this message and make more people curious about this important industry.
Technical insulation, more than just energy efficiency
Technical insulation is an umbrella term for a number of sub-disciplines, the purpose of which ranges from saving energy to reducing noise, minimising damage in the event of fire, preventing condensation and rust, or protecting people and the environment from high temperatures. Marketing Manager, Erlend Førsund, is therefore not afraid of running out of topics to podcast about.
- ‘As long as we're passionate about what we do and know what we're talking about, we'll have enough food for this podcast. Knowing my colleagues, there is no lack of passion or knowledge. We have a long list of topics and guests that we're looking forward to talking to, so this will be exciting,’ says Førsund.
