Two years after its inception, ISOPARTNER's warehouse in Malvik outside Trondheim is still going strong. A new warehouse building is under construction and will double the capacity. In this article, you'll get to know Remi and Tor Olav, who steer the ship in Trøndelag.
Doubles capacity for technical insulation
ISOPARTNER Trondheim is located at Sveberg in Malvik municipality, 20 kilometres east of Trondheim city centre along the E6 motorway. It is a new industrial area with a lot of activity. In November, a new 500 square metre warehouse extension will be completed. This gives a total capacity of 1,000 square metres.
- ‘Since we started, demand has increased, and now we're expanding our warehouse both in width and depth,’ says Remi Storfjell.
He took over the reins from Rolf Erik Magnussen in May 2023, and works together with Tor Olav Johnsen, who has been involved since the start in Trondheim in 2021. In addition to a large selection of products in technical insulation, they offer fast delivery of goods with their own lorry to customers in Trøndelag.

Remi: New sales manager with a background in the HVAC industry
Remi has worked with sales and purchasing in the HVAC industry for 25 years, for Brødrene Dahl, Ahlsell and Würth, Grohe and Terra Entreprenør. He is now sales manager for Central and Northern Norway at ISOPARTNER's department in Malvik.
He grew up in Risvollan in Trondheim, a few stone's throw east of the Nidelva river and calls himself an ‘asphalt child’. In the nineties, he worked on the ‘quayside’ in Trondheim and had just completed his training as a mate when he accidentally stumbled into the pipe industry.
- ‘I got a job in the warehouse at Brødrene Dahl in 1998. So I know pipe insulation. Since then I've had several roles. Both as manager of a professional shop, calculation and purchasing manager at a construction company and as a salesman for industrial plumbing customers,’ says Remi.
Everyday life is hectic, but the otherwise active golfer and diving instructor thrives on it:
- ‘We often take more than 10,000 steps a day,’ Remi laughs.

Tor Olav: Logistics and warehouse manager with one hand on the wheel
Remi's partner is Tor Olav Johnsen, who, in addition to his role as warehouse manager, is often to be found driving the ISOPARTNER truck. He has been with us since the start in 2021. The Stjørdal native came to us after twenty years as a department manager and logistics operator at Byggmakker, and enjoys it very much.
- ‘It's so educational and fun to work with professional customers, and Remi and I have really hit it off. It's also very easy to get hold of people around the company when I need help,’ he says.
He was originally trained in construction and logistics, but in his spare time he enjoys hunting and fishing.
- ‘I love fishing, have a cabin and a dog, so I do a bit of grouse hunting every now and then,’ says Tor Olav, who is otherwise a family man with a wife and three adult children.
