-‘Starting a new business in the middle of the pandemic was tough,’ says Rolf Erik Magnussen, Regional Manager for Central and Northern Norway. The new Isopartner branch at Sveberg in Malvik municipality outside Trondheim has completed one year of operations. The branch supplies Central and Northern Norway, but it is in the district around Trondheim that growth has been greatest.
-"Insulators, plumbers and ventilation companies in the district now come here and pick up what they need on the day. It's made everyday life easier to the extent that they also buy more of what they need here from us,’ explains Rolf Erik.
Delivery to construction sites
Rolf Erik goes on to say that what has really boosted sales in the Trondheim district is that they now offer delivery of goods."We acquired a three-and-a-half tonne truck a month ago and now offer delivery of goods on the same day. In this way, we are helping to strengthen Isopartner's good reputation as a supplier that is good at fast deliveries. And the response has been overwhelming; customers have really appreciated this, and they are making extensive use of the delivery service,’ he says.
Customers' wish list
Isopartner in Malvik didn't have to start from scratch when it took over the customers that previously belonged to the head office in Moss. But Rolf Erik and his colleague Tor Olav Johnsen have not stopped there. They have also worked systematically to map out what customers want."We've asked customers what they want us to have available in stock. By and large, these requests have been easy to fulfil, which is why we find that we get more of our customers‘ orders,’ says Rolf Erik.
It's crucial to have the right products and be able to deliver, but technical insulation is a difficult subject, and expertise is in demand."We've been in this business for a few years now, and our customers are always looking for advice and problem solving. And we provide plenty of that,’ concludes Rolf Erik Magnussen.
