Paroc Hvac Aircoat: Cuts installation time and saves you money

The market for technical insulation is clear and without major variations in product prices. Time spent is the decisive parameter for earnings, and reducing the number of hours spent on installation increases the profitability of projects.

Paroc Hvac Aircoat has been developed precisely with this aim in mind, namely to reduce installation time and solve several needs with one product. Here we have a total solution for round ventilation ducts from 100 - 200 mm, which protects against fire, heat, condensation and sound. In other words, you solve four needs with one layer of insulation.

Only one installation process

As you know, the usual method for protecting against fire and condensation is to lay a mesh fire protection mat first. This is installed, fixed and secured. Then you need to go over the same pipes a second time to protect against condensation. This is done by wrapping a louvre mat around the same pipes and taping it.

This procedure not only requires two operations during the actual installation, but it also means that you have to order two products with accessories and fasteners, get two deliveries, have logistics for two separate elements at the construction site and calculate consumption, calculate cutting and handle waste twice. But that's how it is - you get used to most things and find a routine that works. And what works, you don't want to change.

Unless it's financially profitable and doesn't mean demanding extra work to get new routines in place.

When you use Paroc Hvac Aircoat, you'll spend less time on calculations and logistics from the very first project. These days, when freight costs have risen by up to 40 per cent, this saving will also have a positive impact on your project accounts.

But the most important saving, of course, is that you can insulate the ventilation pipes in a single operation, without having to change work routines or undergo training. When you've finished a section of pipework, you don't have to start all over again. Because you've insulated against fire, condensation, heat and sound. In a single operation.

Paroc Hvac Aircoat properties

Paroc Hvac Aircoat is a complete system for the insulation of round ducts from 100 - 200 mm, and it comes with all the installation accessories you need. The insulation is made of fireproof stone wool coated with aluminium foil and comes in two thicknesses, 50 and 120 mm. The range includes elements for straight ducts, for T-pieces, and for 45° and 90° bends.

PAROC's stone wool products can withstand high temperatures. The binder decomposes at around 200°C, but the insulation properties remain unchanged even if the product has lost its dimensional and compressive strength in the burnt-out sections. Stone wool has a sintering temperature that exceeds 1000°C.

Paroc Hvac Aircoat has fire resistance class EI 30 and fire reaction class A2L-s1-d0.
