Goebel Duplex screws are self-drilling screws for attaching sheathing to technical insulation. The screws are coated with a protective coating and come with both EPDM and HBNR gaskets - a combination that makes them the professional installer's natural choice.
Here are the benefits:
Duplex screws are coated with a coating that makes them highly durable. In addition, the screw is equipped with a gasket that ensures it sits tightly on the steel and prevents water ingress.
Duplex screws are self-drilling. Installers therefore save time by not having to pre-drill holes in the steel.
Duplex screws prevent corrosion under insulation (KUI). When the screw and gasket provide a completely tight seal, it prevents water ingress into the jacket, so water does not penetrate the jacket and settle at the bottom of the insulation, damaging pipes and equipment.
The coating on the screws and the associated gasket also protects against the elements and provides longer durability.
These products are approved according to ISO-9001 and are “2015-certified”.
The coating has another function
Delta-seal coating reduces friction while increasing the screw's corrosion resistance. The duplex screws are also three times harder than ordinary acid-resistant SS316 stainless steel screws. It takes a lot for movement and pressure to destroy them.
Since these sturdy screws also have this protective coating, there is no contact between the metal in the screw and the metal in the steel in the casing. This barrier between the different materials in the screw and the steel it sits in prevents damaging galvanic corrosion.
