Where should the product be used?

What product requirement is set?

Rockwool RTI has many certificates for the various products and certificates from classification societies based on fire tests performed at IMO approved fire institutes. When choosing a product, it is important to choose the product that is approved by the classification society and that will ultimately approve both the area of use and the new building.
Some customers prefer to work with plate constructions that ensure easy handling, while others, on the other hand, prefer to work with mesh mats. For some customers, it is important to have the best and most secure solutions, which are usually two-layer solutions but others focus on straight and easy installation.

Finally, it is very important to focus on the right documentation:

When using Rockwool SeaRox insulation on board a vessel, make sure that the product has a MED certificate with approved steering wheel marking.
It is very important to ensure that the products and constructions have the right approval that is necessary in the specific project, such as that the product is non-combustible and has a low flame spread. The validity of the certificate should also be checked at that time.
To ensure the highest level of safety on board, one must also check whether the product and the plant have been tested in accordance with the latest standard of fire test procedure, IMO 2010 FTP Code.
